Denise Koch Featured In 'Baltimore Magazine,' Talks About Baltimore Unrest

BALTIMORE (WJZ) --One of WJZ's very own graces the cover of the September issue of Baltimore Magazine.

WJZ Anchor Denise Koch is featured with another Baltimore news anchor Stan Stovall. The feature is a part of the magazine's 'The Conversation Issue," which features other Baltimoreans in conversations. The two veteran news people touch on a hot topic in Baltimore -- Freddie Gray's death and the unrest that followed.

Denise was on-air the night of the April 25 riots for seven hours. A day that started peaceful, switched rapidly to chaos that Saturday afternoon.

In the issue, which is on stands now, Denise talks about what it was like to anchor the news that day. She also talked with Stan about the changes in the media industry over the years and a very mean e-mail she once receive.
