Delaware State Gets Past Morgan State 59-56

DOVER, Del. (AP) -- Kendall Gray slammed home a dunk with 1:08 to play as Delaware State came back to defeat Morgan State 59-56 Monday night.

Gray, who had 16 points with 13 rebounds and six blocks, also had a block with 1:24 to play to keep a 55-54 lead.

Morgan State had a 54-51 lead with 3:22 remaining. Tyshawn Bell made a layup and DeAndre Haywood followed with two free throws to give Delaware State the lead.

Casey Walker had 16 points, nailing three of five 3-point attempts, for Delaware State (9-18, 5-9 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference).

The Hornets have now won six of their last seven games.

Delaware State led 28-21 at the half, but the Bears had a 35-31 second-half advantage. Morgan State had won five of its last six games before falling to the Hornets.

Justin Black had 21 points and Ian Chiles added 10 for Morgan State (11-14, 9-4).
