Delaney Joins Labor Leaders To Promote Workplace Safety

HAGERSTOWN, MD. (AP) -- Rep. John Delaney is visiting western Maryland to promote workplace safety in conjunction with organized labor.

The Maryland Democrat is scheduled to attend a morning event in Hagerstown and an afternoon gathering in Cumberland.

The events are in observance of Workers Memorial Day. Every April 28, the unions of the AFL-CIO remember those who have suffered and died on the job, and pledge to renew their efforts to make workplaces safer.

Delaney is in his second term as the U.S. representative from Maryland's 6th Congressional District.
