Delaney Addressing Transportation Issues In D.C. Suburbs

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Commuter transportation is the focus of a meeting that U.S. Rep. John Delaney is holding with elected officials from Frederick and Montgomery counties.

The agenda for Thursday's discussion in Frederick includes Interstate 270, MARC rail expansion and the Corridor Cities Transitway. That's a proposed route for buses only between the Shady Grove Metro station and the Metropolitan Grove MARC station in Montgomery County.

Delaney is promoting his Partnership to Build America Act. The bill would create a new fund to finance state and local transportation projects.
