Death Of Man Found In Frederick Ruled Accidental

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Officials say the death of a Westminster man whose body was found in the snow in Frederick in January has been ruled an accident.

The Frederick County Sheriff's Office says that's the result of an autopsy conducted on Jeffrey W. Mathis. Mathis, 45, was found lying in the snow in the 5800-block of Urbana Pike on Jan. 26. A motorist found the body lying near the entrance to a car dealership.

An autopsy conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore concluded that Mathis died of acute alcohol intoxication complicated by hypothermia.
