Elderly Woman Killed In House Fire In Baltimore County

LANSDOWNE, Md. (WJZ) -- A woman is dead after her home caught fire, an official said late Sunday evening.

Neighbors told WJZ the elderly woman lived alone at the home on Zion Road in Lansdowne.

The fire broke out on the 2400 block of Zion Road. It took crews about 20 minutes to knock out the fire. They found the woman inside.

There is a large hole on the right side of the building.

Anne Arundel, Howard and Baltimore counties fire departments all responded to the scene.

No one else was injured in the fire.

Fire officials have not yet released the woman's identification.
