DEA Using Billboards To Help Identify Pharmacy Looting Suspects

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Drug Enforcement Administration is hoping a billboard campaign will help them identify looting suspects during April's riots.

The week-long campaign will begin Monday, when the DEA is expected to display photographs discovered during investigations into the looting of a number of city pharmacies on electronic billboards around the city.

The billboard will be on I-83 South of Cold Spring Lane, Russell Street, Hanover Street, 1-95 (just South of Russell Street) and I-95 (North of Ft McHenry Tunnel).

"It is our hope that the public will see someone they know, or recognize, on the billboard and call the Metro-Crime Stoppers toll-free number that is next to the picture," said special agent Todd Edwards. "DEA wants to thank the public for the information that it has already provided when these, and other photos like them, were posted by the media and placed on other social media, and hopes that the cooperation will continue when these photos are displayed in this additional format."
