DC police: Person Brings Grenade To Station For Disposal

WASHINGTON (AP) -- District of Columbia police say they temporarily evacuated a police station and a few nearby businesses after someone brought a hand grenade to the station for disposal.

Police said grenade was brought to the station on Sunday to be disposed of.

According to WUSA9, the grenade was never inside of the police building, but was dropped off outside

Among the buildings evacuated around the Fourth District police station in northwest Washington were a Wal-Mart and a McDonald's.
