DC Man Gets 10 Years In Sex Case With 14-Year-Old Md. Girl
GREENBELT, Md. (AP) -- A District of Columbia man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after prosecutors say he crossed state lines to have sex with a 14-year-old girl in Maryland.
Prosecutors say 28-year-old Gregory King initiated an online chat with the girl last October. In the ensuing months, prosecutors say the two exchanged sexually explicit photos and had graphic conversations.
On Nov. 21, 2013, prosecutors say King took a bus from Washington to the girl's Maryland home and spent the night while her parents were away. It's unclear where in Maryland the teen lives.
King was arrested Jan. 19. He pleaded guilty in July to traveling across state lines to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor and was sentenced in federal court in Greenbelt on Monday.
