Crews Repairing Ocean City Drawbridge; Lanes To Be Closed

OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) -- Crews with the Maryland State Highway Administration are making repairs to the bottom of the Harry Kelley Memorial Bridge in Ocean City, which will cause lane closures.

WBOC-TV reports that construction is currently underway. Single-lane closures will be in effect while work is being done. For the next couple of days, crews will be chipping away loose concrete to prevent it falling off the 73-year-old bridge.

Repairs started last week beneath the eastbound lanes. A single-lane closure has been in effect between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. since then. On Wednesday, work will begin beneath the westbound lanes. A single-lane closure on that side will then take effect. The task is expected to be completed by the end of the week.
