Woman Who Fell Into Sassafras River Found Alive
KENT COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) -- A woman who fell overboard into the Sassafras River on the Eastern Shore Sunday night has been found alive, authorities said Monday.
The woman was on a boat in the river in Kent County about 8 p.m. when she fell into the water, according to Maryland Natural Resources Police. She was not wearing a life jacket.
Crews from multiple agencies, including a helicopter, worked overnight to find the woman, who was later located alive and well, the agency tweeted about 7:20 a.m. Monday.
