Crews Continue Search For Man Missing After Boat Capsizes

LEONARDTOWN, Md. (AP) — Rescue crews are searching for a fisherman who is missing after a boat capsized in choppy waters on the Potomac River, leaving two of his companions dead and a fourth man hospitalized.

Maryland Department of Natural Resources Police spokeswoman Candy Thomson says police are continuing their recovery effort Monday morning after the boat capsized just south of Breton Bay in St. Mary's County during a fishing tournament Saturday.

Police say a 39-year-old Jason Downing of Mechanicsville, was found clinging to the hull of the boat. Downing was taken to a hospital, but police didn't have details of his condition. They say 55-year-old Gregory Moore of Mechanicsville and 48-year-old William Edelen Jr. of White Plains were found dead on Sunday. A fourth man, 52-year-old Roger Grissom of Hughesville, is still missing.
