65 Displaced Following 3-Alarm Fire In Prince George's County

OXON HILL, Md. (WJZ) -- More than five dozen people were displaced following a three-alarm blaze in Prince George's County Friday night.

The county's fire department tweeted the flames broke out around 8:30 p.m. in the 2100 block of Alice Avenue near Oxon Hill. When firefighters got to the scene, they found heavy fire coming from the second floor of an apartment building.

 

The fire department said the flames were out shortly before 11 p.m. No injuries were reported.

In total, 65 people were displaced, fire officials said.

Firefighters from parts of Virginia and Washington, D.C., also responded to the blaze. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
