Craigslist Armed Robbery, Home Invasion Under Investigation In Anne Arundel County

SEVERN, Md. (WJZ)-- Anne Arundel County Police are investigating an armed robbery involving a Craigslist ad and another robbery where a suspect forced his way into the apartment of a 76-year-old woman.

At around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday night police  responded to a reported armed robbery in the 1800-block of Graybird Court in Severn. A 47-year-old male and a 17-year-old male were driving to a prearranged location in order to purchase a Honda Accord that they had seen on an ad on Craigslist. Earlier in the evening the victims contacted the suspect via telephone and were told to meet the second suspect at Graybird Court.

The suspect then escorted the victims to Robin Court, where he told the victims that the car was in the rear of the residence. When the victims reached the rear of the residence the suspect pointed a handgun at them and demanded money.  The suspect then took  their property and fled on foot in an unknown direction.

On Wednesday  at around 9:20 a.m., officers were called to the 7800-block of Woodside Terrace in Glen Burnie for a reported robbery. When officers arrived they spoke with the 76-year-old woman who stated that she was robbed inside her apartment. The victim was entering her top floor apartment when she heard footsteps behind her. The suspect then pushed her door open and forced his way in. The suspect demanded money and fled the area.
