BALTIMORE (AP) -- Andre Armstrong scored 23 points, Daquan Brickhouse added 20 and seven assists, as Coppin State snapped a five-game losing skid, beating Howard 86-69 Monday night.

Michael Murray finished with 19 points while Dallas Gary scored 10 for Coppin State (10-19, 7-8 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). Armstrong and Brickhouse combined to make 14 of 26 field goals, 8 of 14 3-pointers and 7 of 9 free throws.

The Eagles struggled offensively in the first half, converting just 12 of 33 from the field and 5 of 16 from deep, but managed to take a 36-28 lead into halftime.

They found their range after the break, scoring 50 second-half points while shooting 55 percent overall and 54 percent behind the arc.

A 9-0 CSU run to open the second frame made it 45-28 and Howard (7-23, 5-10) never threatened again.

James Daniel paced the Bison with 23 points and Prince Okoroh added 18.
