Cooler Air Moving Across The Area As Fall Arrived Tonight

The short term forecast remains quiet with a northwesterly flow and cooler air moving across the area. We will bid farewell to summer tonight as the Autumnal Equinox will occur at 10:29 pm. We will have a VERY chilly kick-off to the brand new season. Lows will dip down into the 40°s bringing us a quick dose of sweater weather through Tuesday morning. We will warm up to around 70° by Tuesday afternoon. High pressure will stay in control for several days and our next chance for rain won't arrive until later in the week.
