Cold weather sticks around into the start of the new week in Maryland

The colder than average weather is set to stick around through the rest of the weekend and into the start of the new workweek. However, big changes are on the way. A few communities could hit 60° later next week!

Sunshine returns on Sunday

The sky is forecast to remain cloudy. Scattered flurries are possible through the early hours of Sunday morning. No wintry accumulations is expected.

Sunday begins with a clearing sky, cold temperature and breezy winds. The Sunday afternoon forecast includes temperatures in the upper 30s and lower 40s with breezy weather. Winds will gust up to 30 MPH. There will be a lot more sunshine on Sunday.

Clouds return on Monday, along with continued cold and the low chance of a few more flurries.

Warmer weather returns to Maryland next week

It'll start to trend warmer on Tuesday. Afternoon temperatures peak in the mid-40s. However, it'll remain gloomy, with lots of clouds.

Much warmer weather arrives Wednesday. High temperatures will peak in the mid to upper 50s. The milder weather continues through the rest of the workweek, with a chance of rain showers. The warmest weather is expected next weekend, ahead of the next strong cold front and return of much colder weather.

Enjoy the warmth while we have it.
