Contractor Breaks Gas Main In Towson Apartment Complex

TOWSON, Md. (WJZ) -- The Baltimore County fire department is on the scene of a gas main break at the Quarters Apartments.

Officials say a contractor accidentally broke a two-inch gas main in the middle of the complex.

BGE crews are on the scene, but it's expected to take them several hours to repair the main. Residents are asked to shelter in place but can leave if they choose.

No injuries have been reported.
