Comptroller, Governor And First Lady To Recognize Artists
ARNOLD, Md. (AP) -- Comptroller Peter Franchot is presenting awards to honor artists.
He will be joined Friday by Gov. Larry Hogan and first lady Yumi Hogan, an artist and longtime arts advocate. The award program recognizes young artists who have displayed extraordinary artistic skills and vision for Maryland's future.
The program began last year to celebrate students' achievements through the arts and to showcase the creative talents of students from kindergarten to 12th grade.
Their work is showcased for two months in the comptroller's office in Annapolis.
