Driver Strikes, Kills Pedestrian In Columbia, Howard County Police Say

COLUMBIA, Md. (WJZ) -- Howard County Police are investigating after a woman was struck and killed by a car in Columbia about 3:30 a.m. Saturday.

Police said the car was driving north on Route 29 near Rivers Edge Road.

The woman was reportedly standing in the road, and the driver didn't see her. She died at the scene.

The driver stayed until police arrived.

So far, no charges have been filed.
