Coleman Checks In From The Castle

Jerry Coleman checks in live from Owings Mills on the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to recap the "State of the Ravens" press conference. The lantern came out of the gates strong saying that the press conference was very transparent. "It sounds like they are not willing to pay the price for Torrey Smith and Pernell McPhee. If the price is too high, they are not going to overpay those two. I would say the general tone of the "State of the Ravens" dealt with off the field issues rather than on the field."

The Ravens are currently strapped for salary cap space, so Jeremy asked if there was any talk of restructuring or extending two veterans with high cap hits, Haloti Ngata and Lardarius Webb. "There is hope that that will be the case with both of those guys. They wouldn't go into details right now because they feel it is too soon. But again they are hoping that will be the case just like Terrell Suggs and Ray Lewis doing the same. Like Haloti, they feel like Lardarius will want to be with the Ravens as well. Also the fact that they expect that Joe Flacco down the road will be able to restructure his contract."
