Coast Guard Rescues Man Off Ocean City

OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) -- The U.S. Coast Guard has rescued a man who injured his hand while aboard a commercial fishing vessel.

Coast Guard officials say a 23-year-old man was medevaced Tuesday morning from the 96-foot commercial fishing vessel Hannah Boden, a boat 62 miles east of Ocean City.

An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City, New Jersey, arrived on scene and took the injured man to Ocean City Municipal Airport.

Emergency medical personnel evaluated the boater and recommended a Maryland State helicopter crew transport the man to Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, where he was receiving further medical care Tuesday afternoon.
