Coast Guard Medevacs Man From Boat Near Ocean City

OCEAN CITY, Md. (WJZ) -- The Coast Guard medevaced a man to the hospital Tuesday near Ocean City.

According to officials, he was having trouble breathing and the Coast Guard was notified.

"We encourage boaters to check the weather forecast before going out," said Brad Stickles, a search and rescue coordinator at the Coast Guard Sector Baltimore Command Center. "The best way to survive a storm is by not going out to begin with. Fortunately, a break in the passing storms made it possible for a safe hoist operation."

The man's condition remained stable throughout the transit.
