Coach Turgeon Talks Top Players & Continuing Success

Maryland head basketball coach Mark Turgeon joined us to discuss his team's success through the first 10 games of the season and to look ahead a bit at their upcoming games like the matchup with Princeton here at The Royal Farms Arena.

Mark has been quite impressed with the play of Melo Trimble, as we all have, and transfer Rasheed Sulaimon. Coach tells us that playing games against the likes of Georgetown and North Carolina is doing nothing but helping the notoriety of the program.

When asked about Diamond Stone, Coach Turgeon says that he is making great strides in his growth as a player and is quite an asset for the lineup coming off the bench. He goes on to say that given a little more time to improve, Diamond Stone could be among the top players in the nation. Jake Layman has been quiet at the start of his senior season, but Mark says to keep an eye on him because while his scoring might be down, his contribution is not.

Listen in for how Coach Turgeon feels about the rest of this season and the program moving forward right here!
