Cleveland Browns Reportedly Have Discussed Signing Ray Rice

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Ray Rice may yet have a second chance in the NFL.

According to Sports Illustrated, the Cleveland Browns have discussed signing the former Ravens running back.

Rice, 28, has been out of the league since being released by Baltimore last September.

This -- after video of him hitting his now-wife in an Atlantic City hotel elevator surfaced.

Browns coach Mike Pettine admits the team has talked about adding Rice to the mix at running back, but says they're "not there yet."

Both Pettine and Browns running backs coach Wilbert Montgomery have ties with Rice.
