Clerk Shot In Arm During Baltimore Robbery

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The FBI is investigating after a clerk was shot in the arm during a robbery.

According to officials, it happened Friday at the Hanover Mart on South Hanover Street.

Officials say the robber went into the store, bought a cup of coffee and pretended to leave. The suspect then returned to the counter and demanded money, pulling out a handgun. The robber shot the clerk in the arm.

The robber is described as a black man between 20 and 30 years old. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt, dark pants and a purple hat. He left the store on foot.

The clerk has non-life threatening injuries and was treated and released from a local hospital.

The FBI is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
