Clarksville Woman Fatally Struck By Two Vehicles

BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ) -- A Howard County woman died after authorities say she was struck by two vehicles on Interstate 70 late Tuesday night.

Ebony Short, 22, of Clarksville, was driving east on I-70 near Route 29 before 10 p.m. when she and her boyfriend got into an argument, and Short stopped her car on the right shoulder, according to the Maryland State Police.

Troopers say Short got out of the car and was walking in the roadway when she was hit by two eastbound vehicles. Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.

No charges are expected to be filed against the other drivers, who stayed at the scene.

Traffic on the eastbound lanes of I-70 surrounding the scene reopened about 2 a.m. Wednesday.
