City Police Investigate Fatal Shooting Of Transgender Woman

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- City police are investigating after a transgender woman is fatally shot in northwest Baltimore.

At about 3 am on Friday morning, police received a report of a shooting on the 3600 block of Fairview Avenue.

When they arrived to the scene, they found Crystal Edmonds suffering from a gunshot wound to the back of the head.

The woman was transferred to an area hospital, where she is later died.

Homicide detectives are currently investigating the incident.
