City Police Dept. Calling For Independent Investigation Into Riots
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Baltimore City Police Department is calling for an independent investigation into how the department handled the riots in April.
The process begins Wednesday with a roundtable discussion involving law enforcement agencies from across the region who assisted during the unrest.
Also Wednesday, the Fraternal Order of Police is expected to release the results of its internal review of the response to the riots.
