City Officer Charged With Felony Theft

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A Baltimore city police officer is suspended without pay after being charged with felony theft.

According to police, an investigation revealed that on several occasions in 2015 Officer Timothy Stach had overtime slips signed by a court representative for time he didn't work.

Stach was charged on Sept. 30.

Another officer involved in this case was not criminally charged.

"I and other police officers have no tolerance for theft within our profession," said Baltimore Police Department Interim Commissioner Kevin Davis. "When acts of criminal misconduct occur, we will continue to move quickly to ensure public trust and confidence are not interrupted by the conduct of a singular individual."
