Chris Brown Pleads Guilty To Misdemeanor Assault

WASHINGTON (WJZ)-- R&B singer Chris Brown pleads guilty to misdemeanor assault in court on Tuesday.

Linh Bui reports.

Brown pled guilty to simple assault on Tuesday morning in a Washington D.C. courtroom.

The case was tied to a confrontation outside the "W" hotel in Washington last October.

Prosecutors say Brown and his body guard punched a man, who was trying to take a 'selfie' with Brown and two women.

The judge fined him $150 and released him on time served. He was in jail for two days.

After accepting the plea deal, Brown told the judge, "I'm sorry, I am very sorry."

Brown was on probation for the 2009 attack of singer Rihanna, his girlfriend at the time.
