6 Months After Baltimore Riots Revitalization Is The Theme

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—Day of reflection.

Sunday marks 6 months since the unrest in Baltimore City following the death of Freddie Gray while in police custody.

In April chaos spilled into the streets leading to the destruction of many businesses, but 6 months later revitalization has been the theme.

City businesses looted and burned have begun to get back on their feet.

Dozens of arson and looting suspects have been slapped with indictments.

Since the riots there has been a number of changes to city leadership including a new police commissioner.

City and state leaders say there is a lot more work to be done, but the city is headed in the right direction.
