Charles County Officials Investigating Death Of Couple
LA PLATA, Md. (AP) -- Officials in Charles County are investigating the deaths of a man and a woman whose bodies were found in a wooded area.
The Charles County Sheriff's Office said the couple's bodies were found Saturday at about 7 a.m. near Drury Drive. The sheriff's office said the couple was found by a passerby and that it appeared they had been living at that location. The sheriff's office said there were no obvious signs of trauma.
The sheriff's office said the couple appeared to be in their 50s and that investigators are in the process of identifying them.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore will perform autopsies to determine the cause of death. An investigation is ongoing.
