Charges Could Be Dropped Against Teen Punched By Towson Officer
TOWSON, Md. (WJZ) -- Charges could be dropped against an unarmed teen who was repeatedly punched by a Baltimore County police officer. That's according to our media partner, The Baltimore Sun.
Zachary Blumenstein, 19, appeared in court Friday on charges that include disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
A county officer repeatedly punched Blumenstein in the face during an arrest outside the Greene Turtle bar and restaurant in Towson in December. Bystanders recorded the incident on their cell phones.

On Friday, the prosecution and defense told the judge they had come to an agreement that the case will be placed on an inactive docket.
Under the agreement, The Sun reports Blumenstein must complete 30 hours of community service and abide by all laws.
If Blumsenstein meets those requirements, prosecutors will reopen the case and drop the charges.
Blumenstein has also written a letter apologizing for his conduct that night.
