Charges Against Ravens Jimmy Smith Dropped

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Charges have been dropped against Ravens cornerback Jimmy Smith stemming from an incident inside a Towson restaurant.

Last year at the Greene Turtle in Towson, Baltimore County police say Jimmy Smith was helping an intoxicated woman in the bathroom.

But when they repeatedly asked him to step aside. He refused to obey their orders. So they arrested him.

Now according to WJZ media partner The Baltimore Sun, the case has been dismissed.

Smith no longer faces misdemeanor disorderly conduct charges.

His lawyer told The Baltimore Sun, Smith is thrilled and relieved to put this behind him.

Smith is still rehabbing a foot injury, but is expected to make a full recovery before next season.
