CBS Radio Baltimore Announces UpClose Performance Studio

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- CBS RADIO Baltimore will the debut of the newest entertainment venue, the UpClose Performance Studio – a state-of-the-art space, which the radio stations will use to present invitation-only concerts and special events to its listeners.

Officially opening later this month on July 20, the studio includes top-quality sound equipment, a video wall behind the stage, and professional lighting.

Throughout the year, radio stations will host performers and other celebrities for concerts, talks and various "meet & greet" opportunities.

Listeners will be able to enjoy the performances online, either on their computer or mobile device via streaming and live video.

A theater-style all-LED professional lighting system is being installed by Showtime Sound of Frederick, Maryland, responsible for stage lighting for a number of recent performance tours, including Louis C.K., Amy Schumer, and Kevin Hart.
