Catholics, Others Reflect On Pope's Visit

WASHINGTON, DC (WJZ ) -- So many people have been affected by the Pope's visit to the U.S. -- both Catholic and non-Catholic.

Marcus Washington spoke to a number of people who were thrilled to see the Pope.

Nearly 24 hours after the beginning of the pomp and circumstance, the excitement at Catholic University's campus remains present.

"We all came down here. We stood for 5 hours in a secure area for 5 seconds -- just to see him,' said one bystander. 'It was totally worth it. Every last second."

Pope Francis' first visit and mass in the U.S. left families from near and far feeling renewed.

"The gift for me is that the Pope is so close to me," said one woman. "That's a gift; I'm feeling blessed."

It's a feeling that people that attended Wednesday's mass say will stay with them forever.

That feeling for a lot of people throughout the campus as well -- saying they are having a great time.

The Pope has made himself very accessible to so many people -- so many people he could touch and see.
