Man charged in shooting at party in Carroll County

Shooting victim dropped off at Carroll County Sheriff's Office

BALTIMORE - A 41-year-old man was arrested for a shooting at a party in Carroll County over the weekend.

Jose Manchame was been charged with first-degree assault.

A man was taken to shock trauma after he was shot Sunday at a party at a home in Manchester.

Maryland State Police say the man had been shot around 6 p.m. at the home in the 4900 block of Hanover Pike.

He was flown by troopers to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for treatment. His condition is unknown at this time.

Route 30 was closed for several hours while law enforcement investigated.

Investigators say there is no reason to believe the public is at threat.
