Carroll County Reimbursed For Help During Baltimore Unrest

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Carroll County has been reimbursed more than $41,000 for services provided during unrest in Baltimore in the spring.

The Carroll County Times reports that the county emergency management office received a $41,773 check this week from the Baltimore Department of Finance to cover overtime and equipment expenses.

Agencies from around the state and outside Maryland sent officers and equipment to Baltimore when unrest broke out after the death of Freddie Gray, who was injured in police custody.

The Capital reports that Anne Arundel County police are in talks with Baltimore officials, but spokesman county police Lt. Ryan

Frashure says it's too early to say whether there will be any reimbursement.

Frederick County Sheriff's Maj. Tim Clarke says his agency hasn't been reimbursed yet for what he called a "minimal" amount.
