Caribbean Carnival Taking Place In Baltimore

BALTIMORE (AP) — Organizers are expecting thousands of people for a Caribbean carnival in Baltimore.

The Baltimore Washington One Carnival is taking place Saturday and Sunday at Lake Clifton Park.

The event begins Saturday with a Caribbean-style parade with floats and people in costume. The organizers' website says that the parade route stretches 1 ½ miles and that the parade is expected to last approximately five hours. The parade is scheduled to start at noon and end at 5 p.m.

The carnival will also include live music and entertainment and stalls of Caribbean food.
