Vehicle Crashes Into Parkville Crabs Restaurant, Killing Person Inside, Police Say

PARKVILLE, Md. (WJZ) -- A vehicle crashed into a Baltimore County restaurant Friday, killing a woman inside, according to police.

The crash happened before 1 p.m. at Parkville Crabs at the intersection of Harford Road and Taylor Avenue. Police called the crash an unfortunate accident and said foul play is not involved.

Police have identified the victim as Deanna Allik, 35, of the 8100 block of Harford Road.

Investigators say the driver of a Subaru Outback was in the parking lot when they accidentally hit the accelerator and drove through the front window.

Allik was inside the restaurant at the time and detectives say she was killed by the debris from the crash.

"We do believe this is unintentional," Jennifer Peach, of the Baltimore County Police Department, said. "We don't think that there was any malice with this."

Iyana Walker said she was on her way to order food from Parkville Crabs just minutes before the crash happened.

"I saw the car into the shop and then I just saw everybody crying," Walker said.

The owner told WJZ off-camera Allik was his business partner and just celebrated her 35th birthday.

Police say, right now, the driver is not facing any charges and this is an ongoing investigation.
