Capitals' Winnik Says Team Has 'Different Focus' Against Penguins This Year

Left-winger for the Washington Capitals Daniel Winnik joined Vinny and Haynie to preview their series against the Penguins.

He also looked back on their series against the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Capitals' season.

The Capitals endured relentless pressure from the Maple Leafs through six games before the Capitals won the series 4-2.

In the end, Capitals Winnik said,"I thought it was a great test for us to have in the first round."

So what's different about this years team against Pittsburgh compared to last year? "I think last year we just expected to win the Cup. We had such a great regular season...it was kind of wake up call, just because you're the best in the regular season doesn't mean everyone's going to roll over for you in the playoffs. I think it's a different focus this year going into the playoffs," said Winnick.

The Capitals face the Pittsburgh Penguins in the semifinals tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m. at the Verizon Center.
