Candidates In Md. Governor's Race Discuss Debates

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Maryland candidates in the state's Democratic primary for governor are discussing future debates.

Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown, Attorney General Doug Gansler and Del. Heather Mizeur released a joint statement on Friday announcing that talks between the campaigns have begun.

They say discussions about debates between the gubernatorial candidates and the candidates for lieutenant governor will continue for the next couple of weeks.

The candidates say they hope to make an announcement on debates no later than March 1.

Maryland's primary is scheduled for June 24.
