Bundle Up! Maryland Could See First Snowfall And Cold Snap Of 2014

BALTIMORE (WJZ) —  Maryland could see the first snowfall of 2014.

Meteorologist Chelsea Ingram reports it's also going to be brutally cold over the next few days.

Here's a breakdown:

Timeline:

The start time of steady snow will be between 5-8 p.m. Thursday. There will be intermittent light snow beforehand, especially north of the city.

The end time of the snow will be between 4-7 a.m. Friday.

Accumulations & Temperatures:

The total accumulation will be between 1-3 inches. The greatest amounts will likely be north and east of the city.

There will be 3-6 inches from Frederick Co. to the west.

There will be blowing snow Friday with high temperatures around 20 and gusts past 30 mph. The real feel temperatures are below zero.

Future:

It will be the coldest night in years Friday night.  Central Maryland will see single digits.
