Brown Still On For Forum In Towson, Hogan Cancels

TOWSON, Md. (AP/WJZ) -- Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown and Republican Larry Hogan were scheduled to speak at a forum in Towson, Hogan had to cancel because of a cold.

Adam Dubitsky, Hogan's spokesman, said Friday that Hogan has been fighting a head cold. He says Hogan saw a doctor Thursday for a sinus infection and plans to rest Friday before returning to the campaign trail.

The forum is being held at Towson University on Friday. It's being organized by the Maryland Family Network.

The candidates for governor of Maryland were expected to talk about issues relating to child care, early education and family support.

Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown, Hogan's opponent in the governor's race, is still scheduled to attend and take questions.

Both Brown and Hogan are set to debate here at WJZ studios on Oct. 7 at 7 p.m.
