Brothers Sentenced In Upper Marlboro Home Invasion

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- Two brothers have been sentenced to more than 100 years in prison each for a home invasion and sexual assault in Upper Marlboro.

Kindu Bell, 32, was sentenced to 181 years and Hakeem Bell, 19, was sentenced to 161 years Friday in a Prince George's County court.

Prosecutors say in March 2012, the Bell brothers confronted a woman and forced her back into her apartment at gunpoint. Authorities say the men choked the woman to unconsciousness.

Prosecutors say when the woman regained consciousness, one of the brothers sexually assaulted her. Officials say the other brother woke up the woman's roommate and stole her wallet and cell phone.
