Boy Killed In Apartment Fire Identified

MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, Md. (AP) -- Authorities in Montgomery County are identifying a 4-year-old boy killed in a two-alarm fire at a Montgomery Village apartment complex.

Officials say Lancelot Quarshie died in the fire at the Cider Mill Apartments on Lost Knife Circle on Wednesday. A fire spokesman says three others, including two children, were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Investigators say the fire was accidental.  Damage is estimated at more than $1 million. The Red Cross and apartment complex management are helping more than 40 people who were displaced by the blaze.
