Boston U Pulls Away From Navy In 61-48 Win

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Maurice Watson Jr. scored nine points and dished out eight assists to lead Boston University to a 61-48 win over Navy on Wednesday night.

D.J. Irving contributed 12 points and John Papale had 10 for Boston U (16-8, 9-2), which got its first in-season sweep of a Patriot League opponent with the win. The Terriers hit just 20 of 54 from the field but held a 50-33 rebounding advantage.

Boston U quickly took the lead with a 10-2 run capped by Cedric Hankerson's 3-pointer early in the first half and never trailed after that. Taking a 26-20 advantage into the break, the Terriers continued to pull away in the second half.

Navy (7-15, 2-9) twice closed to within five in the second half but was held to a single field goal over the final 3 1/2 minutes.

Zach Fong led the Midshipmen with 15 points and Tim Abruzzo had 12.
