Body Found Floating In the Water of Ocean City

OCEAN CITY, Md. (WJZ)--Ocean City Police are investigating after the body of a man was found floating in the water on Tuesday.

Police say around 4:20 p.m., lifeguards located a man's body near 127th Street after a person reported seeing an object floating offshore.

"The body showed signs of being in the water for an extended period of time," police said in a news release.

The victim--who is not being identified-- is being transported to the Medical Examiner's Office where an autopsy will be performed.
