Bob Ryan is a columnist for the Boston Globe and a frequent TV personality for ESPN.

Bob joined Ed and Steve to talk about the upcoming Orioles vs Red Sox series and other Boston sports topics.

As for whether or not their struggles are locker room/chemistry related Bob said "we don't know for sure, the problem is that John Farrell is a scholarly fellow...the Sandoval thing is just a sign of the times, he grabbed his phone on the way to the bathroom, its stupid." When asked about David Ortiz and how he is seen by the people in Boston Bob said "the answer is regrettably in my view, unilaterally he gets a free pass...his behavior is not acceptable to me, but because of his accomplishments he gets a free pass, he exhibits selfish behavior but in Boston he gets a free pass."
